Opening Day Party/Try Hockey For Free

Come help us kick off the season with a party on Monday, October 21, from 4:45-5:45! We will be available to pass out rental equipment, confirm registrations, complete any last minute registrations, and answer any and all questions!

Plus, pizza!

This kick off party is open to ALL Aroostook County youth! We would especially love to have those attend who may be on the fence about joining youth hockey, by inviting you to come try hockey for free. Just bring skates and we will provide everything else that is required. Helmets are a MUST for everyone on the ice. We will have a few full sets of gear available for anyone looking to try on all the gear.

We encourage all our registered players to come hungry & bring a friend!

Please share!

See you on the ice!

Support Our Players By Becoming A Referee

Love hockey, and thought about becoming an official, this is your year! This year is the easiest to become a registered hockey official and it all can be done virtually. Our region could really use additional officials.

Message from Maine Referee In Chief:

I wanted to share a few updates to help anyone interested in officiating plan for the upcoming season. There have been a few changes to the registration process for the 24/25 season. The changes will reduce the barrier to entry and help with retention. Requirements will change again for the 26/25 season (more to come on this).

24/25 Registration and Requirements

· Registration for the 24/25 season opened on June 3, 2024. Register now by visiting https://membership.usahockey.com/

· For this season ONLY, officials will need to register online, attend an online virtual seminar, and complete the required background check and SafeSport training if age-required.

· NO open or closed book test, no modules.

· Seminar Information

o Level 1 Six-hour requirement will be broken up into two nights.

o Level 2-4 Three-hour requirement.

Thank You To The Acadian Pond Hockey Classic

    By PIYH 05/19/2023, 3:15pm EDT

Thank you once again to the Acadian Pond Hockey Classic for their continued support of Presque Isle Youth Hockey and all of minor hockey in our area. Representatives were present last night at our annual meeting to present another generous donation to our organization.
